An international conference "Migration in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Modern challenges, experience and innovation” was held in Kazan on 26-27 September 2016, on the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, the Ombudsman in the Republic of Tatarstan, Autonomous Charitable Non-profit Organization "New Century" and "AIDS Infoshare" Foundation.

Cooperation with Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration

On 21, 22 September 2016 IOM Moscow representatives delivered two training sessions for the participants of the governmental advanced learning course "State management of migration process", organized by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA). The course was aimed at improvement of skills and knowledge of the relevant governmental stakeholders.

Counter-Trafficking Training for Medical Staff

On 20 July 2016 IOM Moscow conducted a specialized training for representatives of the network of Moscow clinics – health care service providers working with migrants, including victims of trafficking.
